1) Very nice parallax scrolling effect, better than tan00ki's version
2) You need black bars on top and bottom.

YinYin explained it very well to me quite some time ago

lf2 is a side scroller - the black bars emphasize this fact (top and bottom)
they do not only make the screen seem wider (similar to a cinema movie)
they also make sure you dont get the feeling of being able to move the screen up or down
if the background goes right to the top or bottom it always seems like there is more beyond it
but you cant go there so it feels like it just got chopped off because the screen isnt big enough (which is the case for the areas to the right and left - but you can go there)

btw this fact is also used in comics/mangas quite often
you will see panels getting dragged right to the edge of the page not having a border
these ones are usually the last ones on a page you are about to turn (or some kind of to be continued)
this way you just expect more to come
